Attention is given to every detail from the north-facing sun-soaked hillside vineyards to our state of the art wine production. Our wines seek to express the uniqueness of the land and a sense of origin. A unique individual berry selection technology, wild fermentations, and gravity fed winery produce wonderful examples of Waiheke wines including Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Flora and Sparkling wine.
WINEMAKER Daniel Struckman
South African born Daniel Struckman moved to New Zealand with his family as a teenager schooling in Christchurch and studying microbiology and biochemistry at Canterbury University. Daniel was inspired by Nelson-based pioneer winemaker Herman Seifred to take his science interest into wine making. After completing a bachelor of winemaking at New Zealand’s Lincoln University Daniel went overseas for several vintage seasons experience in the US and Germany. He was appointed winemaker at Batch Winery and released the first portfolio of wines in January 2013.
